Ayele Dodoo

 

Ayele Dodoo’s vision is to be a catalyst for transformational change in the community she serves. Her goal is to scale the leadership capacity of teachers and administrators in the relentless pursuit of systems that drive excellence in teaching and learning for each student every day.   Currently, Ayele Dodoo is serving as Director of Secondary Education in Montebello Unified. Her responsibilities include: setting the instructional vision for five high schools and seven intermediate schools and creating systems and structures to institutionalize instructional leadership in the roles of both administrators and teacher leaders. Additionally, she oversees the implementation of a district-wide system of Pathways to support students in preparing for both college and career.

She began her career in education as a teacher in Long Beach Unified School District.  Ayele Dodoo holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UCLA, a Masters in Education from Teachers’ College, Columbia University and a Bachelors in History from Stanford University.
