Kaleb Rashad, Ed.D(c), is an adjunct faculty member at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education and a principal in the Poway Unified School District, San Diego. Kaleb is passionate about creating schools that inspire students to pursue their dreams and explore their unique talents, strengths, interests and values. Kaleb brings design thinking to life in his work, with the sole purpose of developing increasingly more creative schools, cultures, and people who believe they can make a difference in the world! He teaches courses on creativity, innovation, and design thinking. His dissertation research focuses on how teachers perceive trustworthy principal behaviors & school practices that support trust-rich environments. Kaleb received a B.A. in Human Development from Azusa Pacific University (APU), an M.A. in Teaching & Learning and an M.A. in Educational Administration from APU. He is currently a doctoral candidate at APU (2016). Before entering college, Kaleb served in the US Marines at Camp Pendleton for four years. Other professional activities include studying Design Thinking at Stanford University, with the Henry Ford Learning Institute, & Lime Design. Kaleb is also training to become a consultant with Thinking Collaborative (aka The Center for Adaptive Schools).
