Rody Boonchouy

Rody is the Director of Professional Services at the Buck Institute for Education and leads the development and dissemination of professional development activities for Project Based Learning around the nation. He also oversees BIE’s National Faculty, a consultant community of 100 members made up of PBL practitioners, leaders, and experts. He joined BIE as a National Faculty member in 2008 and has served on staff since 2013.

A former teacher, coach, and administrator of Project Based Learning, Rody has comprehensive experience in instruction and leadership for PBL. He began his career teaching overseas followed by seven years as a high school English teacher. He was a founding member of a New Tech Network school in Davis, CA, where he served as principal before joining the staff at the Buck Institute for Education. Rody completed his dissertation on leadership for Project Based Learning.
